Assistant Merchandiser - Womenswear

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Merchandiser within our Womenswear Division. 

As an Assistant Merchandiser your key responsibilities will be to support the Merchandiser in the smooth running of the department as well as maximising sales opportunity and profit potential whilst minimising markdown spend. You will also have responsibility for daily figure analysis, future sales and range planning, as well as communicating closely with suppliers in line with the critical path.

Candidate Requirements;

1st Appointment: You should be a Distributor ready for your first role in Merchandising or have experience in a Head Office Merchandising environment ready to kick-start your career with Debenhams. Previous Womenswear product experience is ideal however not essential.

Established: You should currently be undertaking Assistant Merchandiser daily tasks and be looking for a new challenge in an environment where you can build on skills already gained at a different Retailer.

Above all, for both roles, you will need a proactive approach to problem solving, be highly analytical, possess sound commercial acumen and a genuine interest in the retail market.

Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and enthusiasm are also essential to succeed in this role, as is the ability to work to strict deadlines.
