We are currently looking for an experienced, confident and professional administrator to work as part of a team of 4 HR Co-ordinators in a busy and demanding environment. Overall, the team provides administrative support for around 2,000 employees including those based in our remote and overseas offices. The job is based in Sutton but occasionally will require some travel within the UK. We are looking for someone who is highly customer focused, hardworking and who is willing to develop their skills and contribute to the overall success of the HR function.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
• Processing all paperwork and HR system changes for starters, leavers, salary increases and any other job changes, including liaising with our payroll department
• Maintenance of HR system (PeopleSoft) and associated audit and compliance processes
• Producing weekly and monthly statistical reports from the HR system, analysing the results and distributing within both HR and other RBI departments
• Providing advice and guidance to employees and managers on the Company’s policies and procedures and on the self service system
• Routine HR administration tasks
• Dealing with first-line HR enquiries from managers on performance management and other HR issues
• Supporting the HR Business Partner team with regular reporting and analysis as well as ad hoc tasks as required.
• Supporting the Reward and Services Analyst with administering some employee benefit processes, including long service awards and holiday flex
Key Skills Required:
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), with the confidence to deal with all levels of staff including management
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good Excel skills essential, numerate and comfortable with spreadsheets and analysing data
• Able to constantly prioritise, and adapt to changing requirements
• Flexible, and able to work proactively, with a pragmatic approach to developing “best practice” standards and taking on new tasks
• Team player - enjoy working with other team members and willing to assist and cover for team members to achieve an excellent support service
Experience Required:
• Administrative experience, preferably in a large HR department
• Experience of working with confidential and sensitive data. Basic understanding of Data Protection legislation.
• Previous experience of HRIS reporting
• Track record of working to strict deadlines
• Educated to A-level or equivalent standard
• Numerate – must have strong IT skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• HR database experience – PeopleSoft or similar would be an advantage
• A basic understanding of employment law would be advantageous
• Knowledge of work permit/visa application processes would be an advantage
